Overview

Enjoy a truly Alaskan experience in the famous North Pole Alaska on a 30 minute dog sledding adventure. This ride includes informative commentary from your local guide as you glide through the snow covered forest. You will be seated in the dog sled as the team of Alaskan Huskies whisk you down the trails. Your guide will be standing on the back of the sled driving the team by voice commands. You will have a short stop during your adventure to meet your team of Alaskan Huskies and take pictures. All outer layers of winter clothing are included.

Although my husband and I had to cancel our trip due to him having severe vertigo, I had the most wonderful experience working with the employees of Rod's Alaskan Guide Service. They were extremely kind and helpful when I called to ask about the dog sledding and mushing experience and when I had to call and cancel the tour on short notice. We will be re-booking with them for sure when we reschedule are trip.

Fabulous!!!! From my first phone call to the end of my mushing experience, Rod's was amazing. Believe me, I had many questions and torn on what to do while in Fairbanks. I spoke w/ Rod and Victoria who helped me figure out what to do with my day. They gave me great advice. I rode with Joe - a man who truly loves his dogs as though they were own children. He educated me on the dynamics of dog mushing, the work that it entails (which by the way is not easy - if you have dogs you know what I mean) Joe studied each dog from a pup, learned their personalities and quicks. The educational experience altered my feelings about mushing. I won't say I was negative toward mushing just ignorant of it. Joe changed my mind. I recommend Joe and Rod's for your dog sledding experience. I will definitely be back.

A truly wonderful experience. 4 adults in our party and our dog sledding experts were Denver and Joe - both very experienced, personable, and extremely passionate about the sport of dog sledding. We had a great time, learned a lot about the dogs, dog sledding, the Iditarod, and and just how passionate the new generation of mushers are about the sport. Highly recommend the experience - Rod and Terry have have found some of the best in the business! Thanks!
