We did the dog sledding and aurora viewing combination tour at Rod's and had the time of our lives. Our guides and mushers were experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable. Both are full time dog sled racers with their own dog teams. The dogs were thrilled to be out on the trail and eager to run and were a joy to be with. Rod's makes sure all of their guests are warm and cozy in the sled. We're from Los Angeles and don't have all of the best cold weather gear, but Rod's made sure we all had what we needed: everything from winter parkas, bibs, boots, and even a gaiter for my son who didn't want to buy one earlier in the day! We stopped at an ice fishing cabin which was heated by a wood stove and waited for the northern lights to appear. We weren't disappointed as they soon appeared. I would recommend this tour to anyone. You'll be in excellent hands at Rod's and will have the experience of a lifetime. Even my teenage kids thought it was the best thing ever.

My aurora dog sledding trips have very limited space (4 people).. This trip sells out quickly. Thank you for the great review.

Today (10 April 2022) is our last day for the 2021/22 winter season. We will reopen about 1 November 2022 when we have 8 inches of snow. Thank you or the review.

I can't say enough good things about Rod and Terri Pangborn's Guide Service! The staff were so friendly, the facility and equipment were clean and in perfect condition . Our musher was wonderful, as were his great dogs! It was a beatiful nature trip and we learned a lot about what it takes to do this kind of work and it is not for the faint of heart! We would also like to thank Terri for allowing us to be her last guests at Moose Walk Cabin. It was a wonderful place to stay to enjoy so many of the special things Alaska has to offer. Even though we did not do all of the activies Rod and Terri offer, I wholeheartedly recommend any of them, because they care enough to be the best! Thank you for everything! Linda & Paul
