We at Dolphin Research Tours have reinvented the ecotour.

We provide real expertise.
We have been studying the dolphin communities in southwest Florida for 16 years. No other tour can provide as thorough an understanding of the local dolphins.

We respect the wildlife.
Coastal dolphins are under increasing pressure from human interaction. On a Dolphin Research Tour, you are part of the solution, not part of the problem.

We engage kids.
Kids are not just along for the ride. We've developed a fun 'citizen-science' activity for children that lets them be a scientist for the day.

We give back.
During each trip we collect sighting data for The Dolphin Study, a non profit working to protect Marco Island's dolphins.

BEST TOUR EVER Awesome awesome WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!! The operators were knowledgeable and kind and friendly, we saw tons of dolphins in their natural habitat, we saw Osprey feeding, we went collecting shells on the beach, just simply the best tour ever do it! What time is it great for kids and family and older adults, easy entry from the dock onto the pontoon boat

Easily the highlight of our trip to Marco Island. Kent and Robin are knowledgeable about all kinds of animals you’ll see on their tour. They are wonderful with children. My 6 year old asked a gazillion questions and they patiently answered all of them. What a treat!

I literally cannot recommend this enough. We had an amazing experience with the dolphins coming right up to the boat and watching us as we traveled along. Also they were extremely respective of the animals. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
