We have been studying the dolphin communities in southwest Florida for 16 years. No other tour can provide as thorough an understanding of the local dolphins.

We respect the wildlife.
Coastal dolphins are under increasing pressure from human interaction. On a Dolphin Research Tour, you are part of the solution, not part of the problem.

We engage kids.
Kids are not just along for the ride. We've developed a fun 'citizen-science' activity for children that lets them be a scientist for the day.

We give back.
During each trip we collect sighting data for The Dolphin Study, a non profit working to protect Marco Island's dolphins.

This experience was totally worth it. The tour guide was so nice and knowledgeable. He was an experienced naturalist and documented our dolphin sightings on the Florida database. He knew different dolphins by name, and even let us name one that he never saw before. I called the day before to see if my dog could come on the trip, and no one of the guests objected, so she had a great time as well. We saw so many dolphins and mothers with babies! It was magical. And we learned a lot about dolphin as well. I recommend the this tour!

The tour certainly met all its goals. Our outstanding guides, Ken and Robin, found several dolphin pods, and a manatee, and rooks us to the Cape Romano Domed House ruins and a shell island shell hunt. Our guide’s knowledge of the local dolphin population was impressive. They shared their photo catalog identifying the locals by their dorsal fin and provided the web site info to learn more about the ones we saw today and the Dolphin Study non profit. Absolutely one of finest excursions we have gone on!!.

A great educational experience about dolphins. Ken and Robin made this extra special with many dolphin sightings that we stopped for, a surprise manatee sighting, tour of mangroves, a closeup of the cape Romano dome home, and a stop for shelling. We did a shelling tour with cape Romano 3-1/2 years ago and this tour topped that one by a bunch. Highly recommended.
