The start of the trip was very rough. It recovered but took awhile. In my business, we would call it a lack of situational awareness. It takes some time to travel out to the boat, which is fine but then they had us wait in line in the hot sun needlessly. We walked down the dock to be greeted by a guy yelling in a microphone or singing a John Denver song (badly) . It was sort of like when you get to a cocktail party late and everyone is in the swing of things but you. Here, though, everyone just wanted shade and a glass of water. It took forever to get going as they had to count everyone on board several times and could not agree on the number. Then we had a very loud and long instructional session on poop, puke and death that had a long way to go in terms of being professional. This info could have been presented more tactfully, less elaborately and certainly at lower volume. My favorite was the part about what happened if we ran out of barf bags-I am not kidding. Things got better after we left the dock but we all certainly needed a (quiet) break to re group. We bonded with our fellow boat mates in the hope that the guy on the microphone would give it a rest. He really didn’t. I suggest a much softer and better edited introduction. Less yelling and a ramp up of enthusiasm. Once we arrived at the swim place and could get off the boat-it was beautiful and a nice break from loud instruction. We saw dolphin, and turtles. Not many fish but there was lovely coral. The return was the best part of the boat ride because we listened to Hawaiian music and could relax. That excursion needs an adult. Oh, the sea was not rough-no barfing for those who are curious!

Aloha Pauline, Thank you for your feedback regarding our dolphin tour. We appreciate your kind words about the snorkeling segment of our tour, and your acknowledgment of the beautiful native Hawaiian wildlife you were able to see. Your concerns have been shared with management and we will work on improving the way our crew approaches communicating with guests, as well as the way they instruct safety briefings. Our crew is trained to keep our customer safe, while also providing an exciting and pleasant experience for everyone aboard. That being said, we are sorry that our tour did not meet your expectations. Please know that we are taking your concerns seriously and have communicated your concerns to the crew. Mahalo!

Crew Clifford ,Tee ,Lizzel, Jeremy ,Brandon, Loki, Faith and Capt danni made this a phenomenal experience. HIGHLY recommend the morning tour. Dolphins are plenty active and out , awesome fish, crystal blue water, not as many people on the tour. Would do this 5 times over if I could.
