As with the other cities we visited on our trip we used the bus to get an overall picture of the city on our first day. We find it very helpful to do a complete circuit and then decide where to get on and off next time round. Our two day tickets were put to good use. We found this company to be very good in all the cities where we used them.

The ride was 90 minutes round trip and a lot of it was waiting in traffic listening to the tour guide ad lib. It was around Halloween so comments like "on your left you will see the giant spider of Philadelphia" on someone's door. I am glad I went on the tour but it was the least favorite of the ones I have been on in places like London, Paris, NY, D.C. and San Diego. All the others had a set script you listened to on head phones. The scripts were not funny, but I guess I like to just hear about what I am looking at and not having to figure out the joke I am being told.

Bought "tickets" online. There was no information anywhere suggesting where we could park to get on. There was no phone number that worked. The website said to get on the bus "at any stop". So where are your stops????? We finally flagged one down at a red light. I tried to show the driver our online tickets and she just waived us on. The tour "host" was so obnoxious we had to get off at the next stop and wait for another bus. Couldn't understand her and most of what she was saying had not much to do at all with the history of Philadelphia. She was on the microphone chattering with other people on the bus. Finally, got on the next bus and the only thing that guide was talking about was movies and where they were filmed. While that was interesting, we were hoping to see and hear and see a little (lot) about the history!! I wouldn't do it again. The one we wanted was booked on the only day we could spend sightseeing.

All of the tickets that are sold for our tours online provide an address for our stop 1, which is 21 S 5th Street,as well as our phone number on the bottom of the page. This is the stop where the online vouchers are validated as well as beginning of the tour. We also have a map of our tour route with the stops on our website.
