We used the double decker Hop-On Hop-Off bus for two days during our vacation to Philadelphia in August of 2018 and loved it. The tour bus took us all around the city and they gave a good lesson in the history of the city and of the interesting places along the way. On our second day, we used the tour bus to visit the Eastern State Penitentiary and the Franklin Institute.

We loved getting to see all the attractions on this bus route. Our driver was friendly and very well informed. The sound system was surprisingly good. Even my wife could hear and understand with her hearing aids. We purchased the pass that included the entry into the attractions but didn't have time to go to enough to make it save us any money. Would have been better to stick with the basic price of the bus unless we had another day.

We had one day in Philly and decided to take the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. I have used Hop-On Hop-Off buses in many of cities around the world and like to take a full loop around the city and head back to the spots that I find interesting. Unfortunately, the day that we took the tour it was raining so we could not use the top deck so we took the door on the lower deck. However, at times it is difficult to see out the window as it has some sort of black vinyl with holes on it. The female tour guide (didn't get name - but she told us she recently hip replaced lol) was informative and entertaining combining historical facts with comedy. She was by far the highlight of the tour but overall thought the trip was slightly overpriced but may have been better had the weather allowed us to take the tour on upper deck
