Overview

At Defiance Rafting, we expect our guides and their passengers to display perfect paddling form when rafting through the Class III–IV Shoshone Rapids. When they do, which is mostly all the time, we reward their excellence by letting them raft it again. When they don't, we punish them by making them redo it, which, oddly enough, they never seem too upset about.

The two guides for our rafting trip, Scott and Jamie, were great! They were reliable and funny. They were very relaxed and full of great stories and guided us safely through the waters while still having the exhilarating time!

Overall a great trip. Price and rode good. Guide also good and the rapid da were ok. Only thing i didn’t like was we had to cary the equipment! normally not a big deal but felt obligated and i have a weak back so! otherwise it was better than the other trip i took here before

My friends and I recently camped with Glenwood Canyon Resort over the 2019 Labor day weekend and were eager to go white water rafting with the company on site, Defiance Rafting. We chose the Double Shoshone/High Five Adventure as this is the best route for thrill seekers! Our group was partnered up with Scott, our guide, who was knowledgeable and gave us the experience we were looking for. Scott was hilarious and made sure that we were all comfortable. He was quick to adjust our route on the rapids as we asked for a more wild ride all while ensuring it was safe enough to do so. The route will include multiple rapid formations including: the entrance exam, the wall, all day wave, tombstone, and man eater. (For an especially fun ride, ask Scott for option C!) Defiance rafting also offers more affordable rates. I paid $71 for the 2.5 hour route as opposed to $115 that a nearby company charges for the same rapid route. For an additional fee, they do have photographers there that take photos of you as you go down the rapids! We split the $50 between our group of four and were all able to access the link. I can't say enough good things about this company and can't wait do it again!
