Overview

At Defiance Rafting, we expect our guides and their passengers to display perfect paddling form when rafting through the Class III–IV Shoshone Rapids. When they do, which is mostly all the time, we reward their excellence by letting them raft it again. When they don't, we punish them by making them redo it, which, oddly enough, they never seem too upset about.

We went on the double shosone high five adventure, meaning we got the smaller boat and did the rapids twice. It is worth it! Out of our group of 4 only 1 had ever rafted, and he said that this was the best trip he's done. You get a lot more movement, water splashing and group involvement with the smaller raft. The trip was a blast and the majority of the reason was because of our guide Scott. He was AMAZING! His energy was infectious! His excitement and cheering grew with every rapid we hit. He fit in with us like we had been friends for years! We plan on going back every chance we get. Thank you Scott and Defiance for the lifetime memories! We'll see you next summer.

Had an awesome time and met some even better people. We had Ross as a guide and he was great. It was my wife’s first time rafting and because of her experience it won’t be her last. Next time we’re in town, we’ll definitely be rafting with defiance.

This place is simply awesome for rafting. Don't expect crazy rapids, rapids are mostly level III and for a short span of time. But the place of rafting is ridiculously insane. You will be floating in between the canyons with brilliant views. Our guide Ben was awesome and he made the trip lot of fun. We would definitely go back again.
