At Defiance Rafting, we expect our guides and their passengers to display perfect paddling form when rafting through the Class III–IV Shoshone Rapids. When they do, which is mostly all the time, we reward their excellence by letting them raft it again. When they don't, we punish them by making them redo it, which, oddly enough, they never seem too upset about.

Absolute highlight of our Colorado trip! Family with two kids (12 and 13). We stayed in Vail and drove about an hour to Glenwood Springs for a Half Day double Shoshone tour. This was our first rafting experience and it could not have been better. Our guide was Jeremy Sunshine. He was AMAZING! Our 12 year old was scared before the tour started, and I had hesitations as well. On contrary, my husband and our 13 year old wanted to feel the trill, wanted to get wet and not just float, but rather feel the rapids. Jeremy was fabulous in managing to relax our younger child, who ended up asking if we could do the tour again before we leave Colorado. We did get wet, we did feel the trill, but at just right dose, feeling very safe at every minute, thanks to our amazing guide. Defiance rafting has the best possible location on the river, they are very well organized and skilled. We had helmets provided and water boots. We also jumped in the water for few minutes at some point on our tour, staying next to the boat. Overall, this was an amazing experience in a beautiful surrounding of Glenwood Canon and with the best guide we could wish for. I absolutely recomend this company, you won't regret it!

First time rafting, and I was beyond scared!! The raft guide was awesome and made the experience more calming. Definitely worth every penny and we had an amazing time. We are definitely coming back for more.
