This was a truly great tour! Our guide was super lively and informative- passionate about the city and food/restaurants we tasted. We enjoyed that the tour was kept on pace and the number of stops was great to leave full, exercised and happy. We will def come back to the spots we tried!

Terrific tour fueled by the energy and enthusiasm of our guide Ellen. Beautiful walk from the Jewelry/Innovation District, across the River on the pedestrian bridge and back across again. Wide array of food offerings: local chowder, vegetarian, Greek, pastries, etc. No better way to get acculturated to a city. But the guide is everything, and Ellen was 5-star all the way.

This food tour was the perfect way to end our Newport Rhode Island experience! After staying in Newport for the week, we ended our perfect vacation with a short trip to Providence for this Downcity food tour. Jack, our tour guide had it all: friendly, funny, informative, accommodating, and so thoughtful. He lugged a heavy backpack ice cooler full of water in the heat, for all of us when this was not part of the food tour fee we paid. I believe his friendly personality helped our group connect to each other in a way I had never connected to other food tour members. He had extensive knowledge of the history of the foods we sampled and the history of the area. The food was incredibly tasty! I discovered there are Rhode Island Red Food Tours in Newport also. I will add this Tour to our top 5 activities when I go back. It’s worth the experience! Thanks Jack!
