What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. This is an excellent tour. It focuses on the craft of beer making, not on getting sloshed. It enabled me to taste beers I would not have otherwise tasted. Our guide, Greg, was extremely knowledgable and entertaining. It was a small group, and you can tell this tour is designed to share the art and love of brewing.

I really enjoyed the early Saturday Brew-ed brew tour (11:30 to 1:30, 2 breweries). Cliff was very personable and the information was very interesting. I've toured breweries before and this is a different, more in-depth experience. He was also happy to answer the many questions our tour group had. It was a great time and I would definitely recommend the tour.
