After meeting your foodie guide at the first restaurant location in downtown Charleston, you will begin your walking tour and visit 3-4 restaurants, where you'll sample dishes at each, and then a final stop for dessert. Each visit lasts 20 to 30 minutes, and you'll be seated to rest your legs. For most people, the amount of food served is enough for a meal. As you enjoy walking through this historical section of the city, listen to stories about Charleston's culture and cuisine from your guide, who points out landmarks along your route. This wonderful experience will end within walking distance of your starting point. *Please advise about Allergies in the ( Special Requirements section) during check out! *Dietary restrictions need to be communicated at least 24 hours in advance to be accommodated *Unfortunately we can not accommodate Vegan, Dairy Free or Soy Free diets

Liked the variety in the restaurants and food choices. Disappointed in the last stop - felt we were short changed on that one - expected a 'sit down' dessert and just got a praline after a very long and unnecessary walk from the third stop.

Hey Linda! Glad that you enjoyed the different tastings on your tour. There is so much variety to be found in Lowcountry cuisine, we think it's important to show off as much as we can to our guests! We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the praline. We like to use these as a way to show off our heavy French influence and robust 20th-century pecan industry, as well as give folks an opportunity to take a treat home with them if they are too full from the previous three stops. In regards to the walk, we'll look into your route that day, as we generally keep our routes between a half mile to a mile. Thanks for joining us! We think you'd enjoy our Historic Supper Club next since there's no walking and several sumptuous desserts to round out an evening of historical dishes accompanied by fascinating history.

Very disappointed by the Culinary Walking Tour - sure wish we had read reviews before going. Guide was nice enough but couldn't hear her, so soft spoken I didn't hear anything she said., she balked at us for standing on the sidewalk unknowingly blocking people but had us jay walking the entire tour in front of cars. 1 st stop We were served tiny sliders and biscuits. 2nd stop A sliver of raw hamburger with some sort of yucky sauce with a paper tray of cunseasoned collard greens and the 3rd stop, 2 burnt hush puppies with 2 tsp of she crab soup with 1 shrimp with palmetto cheese. Then we thought we getting dessert and that consisted of walking past a dessert shop and given a bag with one praline and two caramel covered almonds all broken up probably from the left over sheet from the night before. PLUS, each restaurant basically came to the table and said here, pass it down, no customer service., couldn't even get a drink besides water., WASTE OF MONEY, WASTE OF TIME $150 + and had to come home and find food because we were starving.,

Hey Christy, I am so sorry to hear you did not enjoy the tour, but I am not sure that we are the company you went out with. A number of the courses you mention are not consistent with what we have offered on tour and the restaurants we work with offer drink service upon arrival. We would love to host you though to show off a quality food tour experience. Looks like you already went around the City Market, so if you'd like to explore Upper King Street and the modern, eclectic side of our city's food scene, give us a call and we'll get you all set up. 843*259*2966 Cheers!

Few good meals but for the price of $170 I do not believe it was worth it. Guide was very knowledgeable but again only 3 stops and the pralines was very expensive for what we experienced. I expected at least 4-5 stops or more for that price.

Hey Maureen! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the food and found Sommer so knowledgeable. We exclusively hire city-certified guides to make sure your experience goes beyond simply eating a meal at a restaurant and instead feels more like a culinary expedition involving a robust narrative about our city and its food while arranging visits to some of our favorite local establishments and sampling a variety of local cuisine. But, we are of course disappointed that we did not meet your expectations. As described, we visit 4 locations over 2.5 hours and during that time provide enough food to make a meal for most guests. When evaluating the value of the experience, we encourage our guests to remember that the price reflects much more than the cost of food, including a 2.5-hour tour with a city-certified guide, gratuities for all servers, taxes, etc. We also recommend booking directly with us (or any tour operator) for potential savings. Thank you for the feedback. Again we are glad to hear you enjoyed the food and tour, and hope we have shed some light on our pricing decisions.
