LoDo
Short for Lower Downtown, LoDo is the heart and center of the Mile High City and contains some of Denver's best local restaurants and bars.

My son and I were in town from Maryland to move him in to CU Boulder for his Freshman year. He wanted to spend a couple of days in Denver first to see what it was like. We booked the downtown Denver food tour to get a feel for, and taste of, the city. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our guide, Sarah, has amazing energy. She was calm, confident, knowledgeable and fun. We tasted super delicious foods. I don’t want to spoil the food surprises, so suffice it to say there was something new and yummy at every stop. The drinks were paired well too. The restaurants all had unique vibes and were so friendly. The city history was really interesting. I especially appreciated the stop at Central Station. It’s a gorgeous train station! Even with Covid, this tour went perfectly and felt very safe. Thank you for giving this great experience to my son and me :)

Yummy yummy yummy! Rob was our guide. I have been on about 8 food tours and really enjoyed this one. Bonuses: 1) Food was so yummy and different! 2) Rob knew so much history and info on Denver! 3) We really had an amazing group that Rob helped us all interact! Negatives: 1) Honestly, probably none. It was great! If I had to choose one thing, it was a little less food than some of the food tours I've been on. But no complaints. Left with a full tummy and lots of new info!

We needed to get away as a family during COVID 19 and headed up to Denver for a long weekend. When looking for fun activities, this one quickly rose to the top. We booked a downtown food tour for dinner with cocktails for mom and dad. Our three kids, ages 18, 16, and 12 came along. This was a wonderful walking tour of Lodo (lower downtown) featuring some of the hippest, most delicious, and most interesting restaurants in the area. Starting with gourmet pizza baked Sicilian style in a real Italian charcoal oven, we moved on to over the top empanadas and Navajo style tacos that were out of this world. Pre-arranged seating and drink pairings were perfect. Unlike other food tours, we did not overeat. It was just the right amount. After a healthy dose of Lodo history, we enjoyed gelato for dessert. Also, they had this COVID thing down. We felt very safe on this family excursion and will totally do it again. We are Colorado residents and love to play in Denver. Wish we had found this activity sooner. We will definitely be back.
