What To Expect
1
Fremont Street Experience
Meet your guide in downtown Las Vegas to begin your walking tour, during which you’ll hear your guide’s commentary via provided earphones. You won’t want to miss a word about this iconic area known as Glitter Gulch, famous for its old neon signs, classic Vegas casinos and easy-going party atmosphere. Start the former site of the Union Pacific station, which dates back to Vegas’ humble beginnings. Walk along Fremont Street and hear stories about its many transformations, from the peak of the casino years to a downturn in popularity to its revitalization into one of Sin City’s current hotspots once again.
2
Golden Nugget Casino
Check out only-in-Vegas attractions like a swimming pool with a shark tank in the middle, the ‘world’s largest golden nugget, and a display of $1 million in cash
3
Downtown Container Park
You'll then make your way to Fremont East, a new district of restaurants, shops and bars that some call a Vegas version of Greenwich Village. This is where you’ll find locals and in-the-know visitors hanging out until the early morning hours. Your tour ends at the Downtown Container Park, an open-air shopping and dining plaza partially made out of recycled shipping containers. From here, you are free to continue your night out in Vegas on your own. Total walking distance is less than 1 mile (1.6 km); throughout the tour, you may purchase food and beverages at bars and restaurants you pass, but please note that your guide will not wait for you if you are stuck in long lines.

You will not regret taking this tour! Kelly is a terrific guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the area, and shows photos of Freemont Street, hotels, and businesses that he's talking about. Some date back to the 1940's and 1950's. Kelly answered all of our questions and took us to different areas, and inside businesses to give the history. Without this tour, regular tourists have no idea how much history is here, or what they are missing! It's amazing to see that some things have not changed much, and also how the area has been revitalized for the better. Before our trip, we had earned a lot of negative comments about how Freemont St. was not safe, but with the reitalization over the past several years, we did not feel unsafe or threatened at all. My husband and I were the only 2 in the tour group that night, so it made for a great, personalized tour. We even went back the next night to some of the casinos, and had a late steak and lobster dinner for $13.99. Highly recommend.
