Ever since I took my first food tour in New York five years ago, I've been hooked. I try to take a food tour in ever city I travel to. I've taken great tours with Sidewalks in SF and NYC, so I gave their downtown LA food tour a try. It was awesome! The guide, Mike was funny and smart! These tours are all about the guide and I was very impressed with Mike's knowledge and overall pleasant disposition. I'll keep the food stops a surprise but just know Southern Cali is the best place for Mexican tacos. Thank you Sidewalks for another amazing foodie experience!

I have never been to LA until my best friend moved there 5 months ago. So I thought it would be fun for us to go on a food tour during my visit. It was definitely different than our routine shopping adventures, but nonetheless I am glad we got to do the tour with Ciera, who made the tour an experience to remember! She made us laugh OUT LOUD while filling our bellies with all the good food on the tour. Ciera was quite simply great!

We took the downtown LA food tour yesterday with Michael. He did an excellent job, he was personable , friendly and knowledgeable about all of the food stops plus many different sites in the neighborhood. We stopped at 6, maybe 7 places to eat and they were very generous portions. We were stuffed by the end. Everything was delicious and it was fun to try different things. My favorite was the homemade taco with mole sauce. Yum! I highly recommend this tour. It's 3 hours but it goes by so quickly. There was a lot of walking but we stopped and rested and ate our way through the neighborhood. The owners of some of the stops even addressed our group. Even my 14 year old daughter loved it! Especially the maple bacon doughnut and macaroons. Take this tour!
