My husband and I are probably the only two people on the face of the Earth to leave Hamilton at intermission. But, we stayed for ALL of Drunk Shakespeare! We were by far the oldest couple in the cozy setting of a library. Danielle Cohn reminded me of two of our granddaughters with that beautiful long, curly, red hair. She is amazing even after taking numerous shots. Yes, she asked me to join her. First shot I’ve done in about 40 years. David Andrew Laws is remarkable. His mannerisms, facial expressions, quick wit, and talent reminded me of Colin Jost. (SNL) I love Colin Jost. Therefore, I loved David. There are lots of F-bombs and one or seven sexual innuendoes. So, if you’re bothered by that, don’t go. Otherwise, don’t miss it.

Saw this show with some friends to celebrate a Birthday. The show was very funny. Be prepared to be part of the show. It’s for mature audiences only. But, if you have a good sense of humor you will love this show. Just pay attention to the seating. We had balcony seats which are tiny bar stools no backs around the room. There were chair seats and bench seating closer to the center of the room that looked way more butt friendly.

I realize some people want more refined entertainment, but I'm apparently not the only one who appreciates sophomoric improv that's a little raunchy. I saw not one person in the full house who wasn't at least smiling, and most of us were laughing frequently and without restraint. Some of the performance is, of necessity, scripted, but this kind of improv, coupled with drinking, takes skill. I know that is stylish to believe that refined sensibilities are a sign of maturity, but it's usually just a sign of stuffy snobbery. BTW, I am not a big fan of bathroom humor, but I liked this as a change of pace. As Dr. Sidney Freedman observed, several times on MASH, "Ladies and Gentlemen, take my advice. Pull down your pants, and slide on the ice." It helps to keep you normal. I might be careful to whom I recommend this performance, but I'd go again.
