After reading the reviews for Drunk Shakespeare, we were only hoping that it would be near as good as the great reviews it has received on Trip Advisor. Well, it exceeded our greatest expectations. I can't remember when I have laughed so hard. Part Shakespeare, part improv; the cast had the audience involved and made them part of the show. Even the cocktails were especially good. And such a deal!

In New York City a show has to be something really unique to stand apart from the rest - Drunk Shakespeare nails it. A work by William Shakespeare is presented in a fantastic mix of dramatic reading and comedy improvisation, with one of the actors drinking 4 shots of alcohol before the performance starts, and then several more throughout the show. If you like to have a great time and laugh until your sides hurt, this is the place for you. I would suggest having a few drinks before you get there as they are expensive, even by NYC standards. Am returning to Manhattan for a week in September and will see again!

This show far exceeded my expectations and was so much fun. The setting, the characters, the drinks, everything was so well done. The venue is an intimate library setting and the characters are all around you performing. The actors and actresses were amazing, there was a hilarious mix of Shakespeare performance and off the cuff improv. If you’re a fan of Shakespeare, the show drunk history, and / or having a few drinks in a great setting, then this show is definitely for you.
