Overview

"Drink sir, is a great provoker..."

The stage is set in a hidden venue. Five professional actors meet as members of The Drunk Shakespeare Society. One of them has 5 shots of whiskey and then attempts to perform a major role in a Shakespearean play. Hilarity and mayhem ensue while the four sober actors try and keep the script on track. Every show is different depending on who is drinking... and what they're drinking!

Craft cocktails and food are served throughout the show. Running time is 90 minutes with no intermission. Drunk Shakespeare is on a limited run so get your tickets today! Entry is strictly 21+, photo ID and proof of COVID vaccination is required at the door.

I love Shakespeare so this was an obvious choice when we visited NYC this weekend. I bought the tickets on Groupon for a steal. Your one drink is a shot when you walk in the door. Super small venue so the actors talk with you prior to the performance. And, the performance. Oh, my! So funny! The play was Macbeth so they did an abridged and definitely slightly off track version. However, the acting was good and the improv by the actress who took the shots that night was hysterical. If you like Shakespeare, or if you don't, you will love this.

I really enjoyed this show. I love being able to be that close to actors performing. It is something special about watching them go into and hold character while still interacting with the audience. The show was very entertaining and a lot of fun with all the audiance involvement.

Had an amazing time! The actors are very engaging and talented. The most creative way I have ever seen Macbeth performed.
