I read the review by another TA and agree and the mgt response was inappropriate. My brother and I rented what was supposed to be two one seater sun buggies. When we got to the location, we got 2 two seaters. Not what I wanted, but we had no choice. As for drivers getting them stuck...my buggy got stuck several times and we were able to dig it out each time. The other one never got stuck. We decided to swap buggies. This time he got stuck several times and mine never. We rode same dunes and similar paths. It was abundantly clear that one buggy was much stronger than the other. Overall we made it work but were somewhat disappointed.

I got stuck a lot and the guys working there helped me learn how to get out and what to do next time. My goal was to do everything that is scary so I learned a lot. It was a blast. Robert Houston and Casey Montgomery were my saviors.

Dear Noplansjustfun, You are brave and we enjoyed reading this review! We hope you found enough challenges in your search to do everything scary but felt safe at the same time. We passed on your comments to your saviors, Robert Houston and Casey Montgomery, LOL, thanks for letting us know that our team took good care of you!

Basically go somewhere else. Their buggies barely pull one person up a dune let alone 2. Their rescue never came even after 30 mins, luckily 2 good Sumerians told us that if you push the buggy downhill it gets released. When we asked why they didn’t tell us they said because it’s not safe. Right ? After waiting for 30 minutes we rescued ourselves and you better know this trick as you will get stuck A LOT ! Smelly helmets, wet straps, bad service and buggies overall.

Buggies don't get themselves stuck, Drivers do. We actually use buggies to tow other buggies all day long and there's plenty of power to do so, you just need to know how to drive in the dunes. Unfortunately if you're unsure of where you went it sometimes takes us a bit longer to figure out where you are but we are the ONLY vendor with 3 agents out roaming the dunes ready to assist such that we get to a lot of guests before they even decide to call in. If there was something wrong with your buggy we would have record of it as they all get test driven before we send anyone out each and every time. Please drop a note to [email protected] with the date you rode and name of the reservation so we can check into the buggy status, we may owe you a do over. Thanks for your help Also, FYI: The people known as Sumerians were in control of the area by 3000 B.C. Their culture was comprised of a group of city-states, including Eridu, Nippur, Lagash, Kish, Ur and the very first true city, Uruk. tThere haven't been any Sumerians on the dunes in a long time :-P
