What To Expect

Battleship North Carolina

If you book on the even hours we cruise north along the Historic Downtown and Eagles Island, where you see the past come alive. Capture unique views of the Battleship, learn about rice plantations, and view shipwrecks, flora, and fauna on this 50-minute adventure.

Cape Fear River

If you book on the odd hour, we head south under the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge to the State Ports and learn the history of a WWII Wilmington shipyard along with current facts while watching tug boats, container ships, and pleasure boats. Bring your camera along; there are photo ops in every direction!

We were the party on the boat. Now we know why. Narrated but nothing to see. Just a boring boat ride and not for anyone who has been other boat rides.

Thanks for your review. Sounds like you were expecting a "party boat" type cruise. Our narrated Eagles Island Cruises are offered in two different direction on the river. Even hour goes north to explore the historic downtown riverfront, new multimillion dollar marina & outside amphitheater then passaging the Battleship NC along Eagles Island for the natural setting on the river. Eagles Island. Eagles Island South is a narrated Maritime History that take you to the State Ports. These cruises are more educational and I agree not "party boat". BUT our Private Charter are customized to your liking. That's where you'll find the party. Best, Diane & Crew

Very informative and relaxing, would definitely book it again. One suggestion is to investigate parking as it is very expensive, there are less expensive lots but it does take a little investigation. Beverages are available to purchase while cruising.

Thank you for your review. Yes, give ample time for parking. metered parking on the street is currently $1.50/hour where private lots are closer to $8/hr. The city offers parking decks with first hour free then $1.50/hr. Hope this information is helpful. Best, Diane & Crew

We took the last regular tour of the day. It turned out that my wife and myself would be the only passengers. Still, they gave us a private cruise. The captain was very professional and showed us all the highlights of the river but with a personal touch. By the end of the 50 minute cruise I felt like I was on the water with old friends. I highly recommend this experience
