The boat leaves from the Wilmington Downtown Riverwalk. It is in the Historic district which is easy to get to. We went on a Thursday and took the first trip out. Although inland the temperatures were in the upper 90's the ride on the water was beautiful. Parking was available on the street and nearby public parking lots. There are two routes, one north and one south. We opted to stay on the boat and do both. The captain and crew were knowledgeable, friendly and would recommend it as a great way to start your day in Historic Wilmington.

I am in a power wheelchair and they won't let them onboard, but, they stowed my chair in their gift shop and took me in their transport wheelchair down the steep ramp, and onto the ship. They have a single bathroom which is large.( check with other tours and they do not have an onboard bathroom.) We took the 2 hour north and south tours and had some snacks and drinks. The information was great, and not too chatty. Even though the heat index was 110, once on the river, it was breezy and a lot cooler. everyone was super and we enjoyed it.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience with Wilmington Water Tours Eagles Island Cruises. We are delighted to know the wheelchair access we built into our cruise vessel and business model has served you well. It has always been our vision to allow access to as many as possible who consider an educational tour, private charter, or a simple relaxing time on the river. We hope you'll consider another cruise in the near future. Maybe a Sunset Cruise with Live Music? :) Best, Diane & Staff
