Early Morning Guided Kayak Tour

Overview

3 Hour Paddle

We begin our 3 hour paddle of the West Thumb Geyser basin at 8:30 AM. We will traverse 3 miles of wilderness with the opportunity to view active geyser features along the way. Paddling along the shoreline allows for the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Elk are often spotted in Grant Village and sometimes other mammals such as bears and wolves frequent the lake area. A variety of bird species are spotted daily and the water is clear enough to see the native Cutthroat Trout as big as your arm if you're lucky enough. ;) The fish can get quite large in Yellowstone Lake.

Dylan’s tour was fantastic. The morning started off cool but he offered us hot coffee or tea and some nutritious snacks. He gave us an educational info before we set out. He also offered us some kayaking instruction and accessories. The pace that he set for kayaking was very relaxing and as we paddled along the shoreline he explained the history and the wild life of the Yellowstone park We also enjoyed his expert knowledge on the fish of the Yellowstone lake. Dylan was a lot of fun friendly and and very safe I can’t say enough about prismatic tours definitely we will be back Deb, Kari and Bruce

Maddie was a wonderful guide. She was fun and full of knowledge about the area. It was a lovely, relaxed pace and we had a great time. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent experience on this tour with Maddy and Tiffani. Both guides were super nice and friendly. We enjoyed looking at geothermal features from the water, and kayaking in the pristine waters of Lake Yellowstone. It was a perfect morning for our family (inlcluding an 8 yr old)
