Early Morning Guided Kayak Tour

Overview

3 Hour Paddle

We begin our 3 hour paddle of the West Thumb Geyser basin at 8:30 AM. We will traverse 3 miles of wilderness with the opportunity to view active geyser features along the way. Paddling along the shoreline allows for the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Elk are often spotted in Grant Village and sometimes other mammals such as bears and wolves frequent the lake area. A variety of bird species are spotted daily and the water is clear enough to see the native Cutthroat Trout as big as your arm if you're lucky enough. ;) The fish can get quite large in Yellowstone Lake.

Tiffany made this tour awesome for us! She made us feel comfortable, laugh, a cute charcuterie board for lunch and was very knowledgeable about the questions we had and some we did not! Highly recommend!

We did mid-morning paddle- Cool perspective to see the geysers from the water! Water was calm and very little wind; got lucky with great weather. Tour was a good length at 3 hours for our 9 and 15 year old. Maddi and Dylan were great guides with lots of knowledge and fun stories. Worth it to get off the road and on the water!!

We went on a family mid-morning kayaking tour on Yellowstone Lake guided by Allen. It was a fantastic experience to approach the West Thumb Geyser Basin from the water. Allen interacted with all members of the family and was able to adapt his speech to his audience. The whole experience was great and would recommend Prismatic Tours anytime.
