East Village Haunted Manhattan tour

Overview
Haunted Manhattan offers the most accurate—and FUN—ghost tours in the city!

On our East Village tour, a secret underworld of ghosts and ghouls reveals itself as you’re guided past 13 haunted stops by the clever, witty, and endlessly entertaining Frankie, a bartender who’s used to dealing with patrons who just don’t want to heed Last Call. From the ghost train at the Astor Place subway stop, to haunted screams in the night on Bond Street, to a cellar where one of America's greatest writers might still be sipping on some amontillado, you’ll see both landmarks and dive bars that make the East Village the legend that it is—and hear the stories of the spirits that call this area home.

A historical, hilarious, and completely hair-raising experience, Haunted Manhattan will show you the greatest city there is, like you’ve never seen it before.

Despite the rave reviews, the Haunted Manhattan East Village tour was NOT excellent or even good. The tour guide spoke in a mixture of whispering (so we couldn't hear her) and screaming (for effect possibly?). The tour guide also did too much engaging the comedians on the tour and people who like to hear themselves talk. And the stories weren't the best.

Prof Mortimer delivered his lessons, answered all our questions and kept it interesting throughout! He would speak about both the facts (history) and stories (horror) of the various landmarks we visited, which was awesome - so you could understand better how everything linked up. I loved Greenwich village that much more after this tour!

My family of four thoroughly enjoyed Professor Mortimer's walking tour of Greenwich Village. He was very engaging and shared a lot of very interesting stories with the group. He was a wealth if historical information and was an amazing story teller. Haunted Manhattan provides a fun night out that is a little different than the typical tourist-type activities. Bring a rain jacket or an umbrella even if there is the slightest chance of rain--don't make the mistake we did and leave them at the hotel. Check Groupon for great deals on Haunted Manhattan tours.
