East Village Haunted Manhattan tour

Overview
Haunted Manhattan offers the most accurate—and FUN—ghost tours in the city!

On our East Village tour, a secret underworld of ghosts and ghouls reveals itself as you’re guided past 13 haunted stops by the clever, witty, and endlessly entertaining Frankie, a bartender who’s used to dealing with patrons who just don’t want to heed Last Call. From the ghost train at the Astor Place subway stop, to haunted screams in the night on Bond Street, to a cellar where one of America's greatest writers might still be sipping on some amontillado, you’ll see both landmarks and dive bars that make the East Village the legend that it is—and hear the stories of the spirits that call this area home.

A historical, hilarious, and completely hair-raising experience, Haunted Manhattan will show you the greatest city there is, like you’ve never seen it before.

We had our tour with the professor, doing a tour of Greenwich Village. We have gone on many ghost tours in Europe and this was definitely one of the best ghost tours we've ever done. We were the only two people signed up for the tour but he didn't cancel and made it a private tour instead, which we really appreciated because that was our last night in New York. Professor Mortimer was not only fun and engaging but also extremely knowledgeable in the history of the area and in the details of the ghost stories he was telling. We learned so much on this tour and there were so many interesting ghost stories in such a small area. I highly recommend this tour, Professor Mortimer was fantastic!

A great way to see the city that you won't see on a tour bus. Walking through the village on a pleasant evening while listening to stories and history is very enjoyable. A fun evening for all.

Frankie did a fantastic job sharing a bit of the history of New York City with us though her 13 tales that she shared -- it was a great walk around the East Village and it gave us a real picture of New York at a different time. Even if you dont believe in ghosts, these are really interesting stories and a fantastic way to learn more about what at times seems like an overwhelmingly large city! Highly recommend!
