East Village Haunted Manhattan tour

Overview
Haunted Manhattan offers the most accurate—and FUN—ghost tours in the city!

On our East Village tour, a secret underworld of ghosts and ghouls reveals itself as you’re guided past 13 haunted stops by the clever, witty, and endlessly entertaining Frankie, a bartender who’s used to dealing with patrons who just don’t want to heed Last Call. From the ghost train at the Astor Place subway stop, to haunted screams in the night on Bond Street, to a cellar where one of America's greatest writers might still be sipping on some amontillado, you’ll see both landmarks and dive bars that make the East Village the legend that it is—and hear the stories of the spirits that call this area home.

A historical, hilarious, and completely hair-raising experience, Haunted Manhattan will show you the greatest city there is, like you’ve never seen it before.

The Professor wore a bow tie and led a interactive "class" through the village and through many generations of NYC hauntings! Incredibly engaging and fun. The professor's tour was very interesting, interactive and relatable. Great tour!!

I had the pleasure of going on the Greenwich Village tour with Professor Mortimer and really enjoyed it. He seamlessly mixes local history, weird history and even national history with credible stories of supernatural encounters. His presentation was engaging and even managed to hold the interest of my wife who is not normally a big fan of ghost tours. I would happily do another tour with the Professor and Haunted Manhattan again. Mike Brown

On a whim, my boyfriend and I went on the Greenwich Village Tour while celebrating his birthday. Having done haunted tours around the country, but, oddly enough, not in my hometown, we decided to do the Greenwich Village tour led by "Professor Mortimer." We had a great time and the rest of the group seemed to have a good time too. My boyfriend doesn't believe in ghosts. I do. There was plenty of interesting history to be learned that made your actual belief in ghosts inconsequential. Our guide was delightful, silly, convincing and entertaining. We would definitely go on the remaining tours!
