East Village Haunted Manhattan tour

Overview
Haunted Manhattan offers the most accurate—and FUN—ghost tours in the city!

On our East Village tour, a secret underworld of ghosts and ghouls reveals itself as you’re guided past 13 haunted stops by the clever, witty, and endlessly entertaining Frankie, a bartender who’s used to dealing with patrons who just don’t want to heed Last Call. From the ghost train at the Astor Place subway stop, to haunted screams in the night on Bond Street, to a cellar where one of America's greatest writers might still be sipping on some amontillado, you’ll see both landmarks and dive bars that make the East Village the legend that it is—and hear the stories of the spirits that call this area home.

A historical, hilarious, and completely hair-raising experience, Haunted Manhattan will show you the greatest city there is, like you’ve never seen it before.

Sometimes ghost tours can be very boring...we all know we are not going to actually see a ghost, right??? This was not the case with Haunted Manhattan. Professor Mortimer was very animated and knowledgeable of Greenwich Village history and its folklore. We were entertained every step of the way! It's a great way to see the Village and to get to know its residents, past and present. It is a walking tour, so wear comfortable shoes. The tour visits many purportedly haunted locations and all are photo worthy.

The Professor gave a fabulous tour of Greenwich Village! Not only was the tour fun and interactive, it was also packed with historical facts about the Village. I've lived in NYC since 2000 (and lived in the Village!) and I still learned a ton. There was a family of five on our tour and The Professor was equally charming with the adults and the young children--all of us were engaged the entire time. I went by myself and had a great time. I would definitely come back with my niece and nephew or with friends.

Frankie is a breathe of fresh air in NYC. Very informative with all the history and haunts. My kids and I totally enjoyed it. Only afterwards we realised that we didn't get a pic with Frankie for our album. That was the only disappointing part. I will recommend this tour to anyone who loves history.
