We had a wonderful and informative tour around the homes and haunts of some of the East Side's rock'n'roll legends (human and buildings) as well as bands that passed through the city covering 100 years of history. Our guide, Bobby, was knowledgeable and obviously a big music fan. Some great anecdotes about The Ramones, Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop and loads more. Blondie, Television, Charlie Parker, The Clash all get a look in and numerous others. Worth every penny

As soon as this tour started I knew it was a good choice as Bobby showed and talked us through the impressive musical heritage of this part of the city. And he should know, as he was there at the time! Make sure you buy his book afterwards, which reminds you of the wealth of knowledge he has and fleshes out some extra bits too. Well worth the time and money.

Bobby Pinn is a font of New York rock and punk knowledge and an excellent tour guide. We did his East Village rock and punk tour. He not only showed us the sites and also provided great detail and stories behind the places. It was a hot day and he was very strategic about finding shading spots to stop and talk along the way. He is very conversational and connected his talking points with our music interests throughout the tour. He also shared great photos, which helped when the current locations have changed significantly over the years. The highlights of the tour included seeing the site of the former Fillmore East, Joey Ramones apartment building, the building featured on the Physical Graffiti cover, the Trash and Vaudeville store, former CBGB location, Charlie Parker's home, Iggy Pop's home, and more. Next time I visit NYC I plan on doing his West Village/Dylan-focused walking tour.
