The Iconic New York City Tour is a 4 hour walking photo tour that begins in midtown Manhattan at the very busy Grand Central Terminal (1 million commuters passing through it everyday!) This is the classic New York City sightseeing featured in films and literature. The tour continues with Iconic architecture and historical information about the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, and much more.

What To Expect

Shoot New York City

This is a private tour. My tours are designed for those who want to discover New York City, with or without camera. Included are historical, architectural and cultural information about the city. As well, suggestions are offered about how to get around town or other places you might want to visit while you’re here. Photos documenting your tour can also be included. For photo tours (beginners to advanced) assistance is provided on camera use, techniques and photographic opportunities to achieve the best shot. Genres include (but are not limited to) urban landscapes, graffiti and street photography. I specialize in customized tours to suit your specific interests and any of the sample tours can be modified or we can start from scratch.

Leanne is a superstar. It was a freezing cold day but Leanne was a trouper and took us to her favourite coffee shops and we did some inside locations to help us cope with the temperature. Helped us both with our photography and showed us clever tips and locations. It was our great pleasure meeting Leanne and her tour was the highlight of our trip to NYC. Will definitely do another next time but will aim for warmer weather!

I had a blast roaming the city and learning how to do street photography. I have never tried street photography and this was a great way to learn. Leanne has a great way of encouraging you to be creative and let your instincts take over. I feel like I got some great shots and plan to do a lot more street photography.

I attended the street photography workshop over Memorial Day weekend and had an insightful experience. One of the key takeaways was learning what to look for when doing street photography. We focused on finding interesting frames with the emphasis on being patient and allowing subjects to naturally enter the frame, which led to some genuinely candid and compelling shots. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced, I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to explore the art of street photography..
