What To Expect

Pure Florida
The journey begins aboard the M/V Naples Explorer at Tin City which was originally a hub for fishing, clamming, and shellfish in the 1920s.  Today it is a thriving marketplace where you’ll find over 30 unique shops and restaurants. Once the captain has sounded the horn 4 times, it’s time to leave the dock.  As you begin the leisurely cruise down the Gordon River, past Crayton Cove, and through Naples Bay, you might think to yourself this is not an eco-tour because the river is lined with yacht clubs and exclusive communities like Port Royal where million dollar mansions are the norm. Even though it may seem like a tour of the rich and famous, there is plenty of dolphin activity for your viewing pleasure and it does not take long to get to where the magic of southwest Florida’s natural beauty thrives. Once you arrive to Keewaydin Island, take in a nature walk with your Captain, fill your shelling bag with beach treasures or take a moment to dip your toes in the water!  There are many ways to enjoy your time on the island.  While cruising, you will love moving freely throughout the boat to get the best view capturing memories that will last a lifetime!  A marine restroom is available on the M/V Naples Explorer.  Guests are welcome to bring their own small coolers with drinks and snacks.  This 3-hour experience will return you back to Tin City Waterside Shops where you can enjoy shopping in one of the 30 different unique shops or eating at one of the three delicious restaurants.  You can also walk to 5th Ave South, Naples most famous street, to enjoy more shopping or eating!

Absolutely the best experience anyone could ask for! Captain Joey and First mate Taylor were both very nice and answered any and all questions. The ride out of the marina was just as beautiful as the beach (Keewaydin). The main purpose we went for was to shell on the island and it absolutely surpassed everything we had wanted. You have an hour ride to keewaydin and during that hour you can see dolphins and birds and we even saw a bald eagle. Once you get to the island they give you about an hour and 15 minutes to shell or swim or do whatever you would like. We had a little time left over and we headed back early due to everyone ready to head back. We took the last hour to cruise through the mangroves and take time to see any wildlife with the remaining time we had. Absolutely abundantly filled with shells on the beach. They give you a complimentary shelling bag in case you want to collect shells and let me tell you, my mother and I almost filled both of ours up with plenty of beautiful shells. We were hesitant of going on the tour because of the price, but it was absolutely worth it. We got to see dolphins right up on the boat got amazing shells and spent the day out of the hotel. Anyone and everyone will enjoy this experience anytime of the available times. Captain Joey and First mate Taylor, thank you for an amazing day!

Great tour! Guides were kind and knowledgeable. The island is stunning and so many beautiful shells to discover. We had about an hour on the island- wish it could have been 1.5 hour- it went by too fast. Saw dolphins on the way back. Definitely recommend this tour. Take the morning option during summer before it gets too hot.
