What To Expect

Pure Florida
The journey begins aboard the M/V Naples Explorer at Tin City which was originally a hub for fishing, clamming, and shellfish in the 1920s.  Today it is a thriving marketplace where you’ll find over 30 unique shops and restaurants. Once the captain has sounded the horn 4 times, it’s time to leave the dock.  As you begin the leisurely cruise down the Gordon River, past Crayton Cove, and through Naples Bay, you might think to yourself this is not an eco-tour because the river is lined with yacht clubs and exclusive communities like Port Royal where million dollar mansions are the norm. Even though it may seem like a tour of the rich and famous, there is plenty of dolphin activity for your viewing pleasure and it does not take long to get to where the magic of southwest Florida’s natural beauty thrives. Once you arrive to Keewaydin Island, take in a nature walk with your Captain, fill your shelling bag with beach treasures or take a moment to dip your toes in the water!  There are many ways to enjoy your time on the island.  While cruising, you will love moving freely throughout the boat to get the best view capturing memories that will last a lifetime!  A marine restroom is available on the M/V Naples Explorer.  Guests are welcome to bring their own small coolers with drinks and snacks.  This 3-hour experience will return you back to Tin City Waterside Shops where you can enjoy shopping in one of the 30 different unique shops or eating at one of the three delicious restaurants.  You can also walk to 5th Ave South, Naples most famous street, to enjoy more shopping or eating!

My husband and I have toured and lived in Florida. We decided to take this tour to get out on the water and to get to Keewaydin Island without renting our own boat. We are so glad that we did. The tour was fun, educational and scenic. Our captain and mate (Marty and Brock) were incredibly informative. Both were certified naturalists so told us much about the mangrove forests, the sea life, the tides, and the birds in the area. We saw eagles, egrets, osprey and their baby chicks, and even several pods of dolphins. Just going to beautiful Keewaydin Island would have been enough....but there was so much more! Sensational tour for adults and/or for families. We can't wait to go back with our grandkids! Worth every penny!!

Had a wonderful family trip Friday morning w Tyler as our Captain. The adults & kids both had a enjoyable time. Lovely scenic & informative boat ride. Saw many Dolphins & learned a little bit of the Eco System of Fla. Shelling Beach was beautiful & fun for the kids & adults. They gave you bags to collect the shells in. All in all a great time. Kid ages were 11-14. Then went to lunch afterwards @ Riverwalk right there in complex. We all raved about our food.

Had a great shelling/dolphin-watching tour of the area, and even a peek at the Gulf! Our captain was a great guide, a naturalist and a boat man, so we knew a little something about everything we saw. Would definitely go again!
