Climbers scale the outside of a skyscraper more than 1,200 feet above the ground, then lean out and look down from the highest outdoor platform in New York City. Climbers aged 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). Climbers must be able to speak and understand English.

Edge is the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere with a one-of-a-kind design. It's suspended in mid-air, giving you the feeling of floating in the sky with 360-degree views you can't get anywhere else. Look 100 stories down from the thrilling glass floor, lean out over the city on angled glass walls and sip champagne in the sky. You've never experienced New York like this before.

Once we got to the observation level our visit was amazing. Once you exit the lift (elevayor) it is a very open airy space with incredible views. Going outside to the oberservation deck the views are even more impressive. You can access the upstairs via the outside steps or inside stairs. There are limited eating options and more limited seating. The problem with out visit was the queueing time. None of it was explained. After we bought our tickets we joined one queue. First the snaking queue in the shopping centre, then more internal queues through quite a claustrophobic corridor. We were never told how long it would take. Then a wait for the lift to take us to the observation deck. In total we queued for 90 minutes, despite having tickets for a particular time. When we came back downstairs (another, mercifully much shorter queue for the lift) the queue in the shopping centre was even longer. Overall it was worth it, but I would have liked to have known how long it would take in advance.

The views were breathtaking. There was plenty of space and plenty of view so they've got this down to a science as far as admission control is concerned. It is awesome to be up there. The submarine glass view on the Edge is so scary and great. The waffles there are so good and there is so much champagne and everything else if you like that for breakfast when I was there.
