A Pedego Electric Bike is the best way to experience all that Amelia Island has to offer. A Pedego is just like a regular bike - only better. You can pedal normally (or not) and get power when you want it. It feels like being a kid again!

What To Expect

Big Talbot Island State Park

During this tour, we ride down 7 mile’s of Amelia Islands designated bike path, over the George Crady Bridge, and into Big Talbot Island where we do a little trail riding down to the beach for a ride along the sand. The power of the bike makes the our trek through the sand easy-breezy. This tour provides a taste of Amelia Islands’ natural beauty and wildlife as we bike through moss-laden live oaks, along natural waterways, and on coastal paths. On the way back, riders have the option to stop at the Shops of Amelia Island for some refreshments prior to returning to the Pedego Store. *Optional stop subject to bike availability

Once we got used to riding the bikes, Nathan took us around the island. Riding over the bridge was pretty exciting but my favorite part was riding on the sand where all the fallen trees were. I highly recommend this experience. I would certainly do it again!

We twice rented electric bicycles from Pedego. The owner was extremely accommodating and our cycles were in "new" condition and outfitted with water bottle holders, bike locks, baskets and battery chargers. Our first excursion was to Talbot Island and Boneyard Beach. Amelia Island has great bike paths so we could avoid the main roads all of the way. For our second adventure, we rented "fat tire" electric bikes and rode several miles down the beach and then transferred to the bike path to find lunch. Great equipment, friendly staff, I would highly recommend this shop!

Great bike ride - the bikes are fantastic machines ---pedal off some calories, use the throttle when ya need a little break. Perfect if you want to work out a little and your partners don't! Ha ha! A safe way to tour the island and get in some beach time. Amazing to pedal on sand with such ease!!!! Nate was a fantastic guide and offered many recommendations and insight into the area. Very laid back, just like you want things to be on vacay!!! Staff in the check in area super nice and welcoming.
