As we went in Oct the weather was a bit hit and miss (normally should be in the 70’s) but due to the recent hurricane we had lots of rain and some low clouds (photo 1 on the next day) On saying that we struck it lucky to have a fairly clear day (see rest of photos) it’s a very well organised event with plenty of staff around for info, questions, directions etc. You can see everything from inside the windowed observation floor or if you are brave enough go up to the outside deck (very windy and wet) but was worth the view. King Kong makes his appearance (for photos etc) and plenty of information on the building etc. Lift up is very fast with an interesting video on the ceiling of how the building was built. All in all, was a good experience and an enjoyable visit was worth it (apparently in peak times you have to wait in long queue’s) so the “skip the queue” would be worth the extra cost if on a time limit, but as it was out of season it would have been a waste of money to do so. Overall a good experience and worth a visit.

The Empire State Building your is way too crowded. I guess it’s all about making money. The express’s very disappointing because of the big crowds. Less people would make for a better experience for all.

Booking through Viator was really easy and we got in pretty quick despite it being busy and a long queue. The views are incredible from the observation deck, we could have stayed there all day.
