MAXIMUM INDIVIDUAL WEIGHT LIMIT IS 300 LBS., with a total weight of 1100 lbs. per airplane. Anyone exceeding 300 lbs. will be required to purchase a second seat. Any group exceeding 1100 lbs. must be booked on two airplanes.
CHECK IN TIME IS 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED TOUR.
Individual guest names, weights, and contact information must accompany all bookings.
Maximum individual weight limit is 300 lb. - 1100 lb. weight limit per airplane
Hand sanitiser available to travellers and staff
Regularly sanitised high-traffic areas

The State of Hawaii lifted the face mask in public areas mandate at 11:59PM on March 25, 2022. Our staff is 100% vaccinated and our airplanes are sanitized between tours. Face masks are optional on our airplane tours.

Really happy we took this tour. Our pilot Brian had several years experience, was very knowledgeable and made sure to turn the plane so passengers on both sides of aircraft had opportunity to see and take photos. Some of my best photos of the island were from this tour. He did a great job of pointing out landmarks, providing history and answering questions. He even flew me over the now dilapidated Coco Palms where I had stayed as a young girl. It was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. I've done helicopter tours before, but actually enjoyed this more. Felt safer and they fly low enough that the view are absolutely fantastic. I felt the trip was a great value and the entire Air Ventures team we dealt with were professional and accommodating. This is a tour I would recommend.

We enjoyed the tour, but we probably would not recommend it unless you really enjoy planes. A helicopter would be more versatile and we noticed the helicopter tours got much closer to the coastal range and sites. We choose the plane option as a smoother ride for our young daughter and we thought the overhead wings would give a better view. It was a bumpy ride over the canyons so she got scared and those on the co-pilot side of the aircraft had a much better view throughout the tour. The pilot did circle a few times to give those on the pilot side a chance to see some sights. The pilot was knowledgeable and competent, but the aircraft could use a little refurbishing as the upholstery was torn and the inside a little messy. A good trip, but not great.

This was the best fun we have ever had. My husband and I were in Hawaii for our 50th anniversary, and this was the most memorable experience we could have wished for. We were on the Pride of America our last day in Kauai. Rich Lopaka picked us up in the little village shopping area in Lihui. He was so funny and very informative as he drove us to the airport . The wonderful true Hawaiian culture was his main topic and he was very interesting. At the airport we were checked in by a lovely young woman to await our flight. Captain Harry came in introduced himself and took us outside for intro to the Red Baron. So beautiful. My husband had been a little nervous , but we were both put at ease by everyone at Air Ventures. We boarded in the front seat, and put on our ear phones for communication. Captain Harry readied the plane and we were off. The flight was smooth and Harry just gave us such a wonderful tour of the entire Island . Movie sights, water falls, rivers villages, we spotted a whale and he flew down to get a better view. The waimea canyon and Nepali coast was breathtaking. He explained all the areas and a great deal of history. Even spoke of the reefs and outlying islands. He made sure to place us in good picture and video position . I cannot stress enough that this was the most we have ever gotten for our money on any trip or excursion we have been on. It was so worth it. Landing was so smooth we didn't feel it.. We were returned to the village again by Rich. Again this as wonderful and we hope that anyone who reads this and are going to be in Hawaii will have the same experience. Ron and Karen
