Overview

Explore the Everglades on an airboat adventure. This tour includes transportation, park entrance, airboat ride, the airboat tour, and free time to walk the park and see all the alligator exhibits. Have the chance to see alligators up close in their natural habitat, as well as the many exhibits scattered throughout the park. This half day tour departs twice daily at 9:30 and 1:30.

Alligators…they are inexplicable! They are atrocious! They are exciting! And above all, they are must see when you are in the Everglades. If you wish to get up-close and personal with alligators then there’s no better way out than taking alligator tours.

The meeting point for the trip was easy to find and central to minis south beach. It was about a 50 minute drive to the park, however the tour guide/driver provided commentary on the route to pass the time. At the venue there was ample time to view the other attractions and join a ‘Gator talk’ to learn more about the animal and the Everglades. The airboat ride was awesome. The driver was very engaging and stopped a few times to talk about the animals and the area. As it was wet season there wasn’t many gators around but we did manage to see a few swimming around. It was a great experience regardless. The only downside of this trip was the tour guide who stated it was a a ‘minimum’ $5 tip person and was pretty aggressive in his tone. If it’s a minimum tip, then this should be added to the cost of the trip and not try to force customers into paying it. There were also signs over the bud stating a ‘minimum’ $5 tip person. I think this put off a lot of us paying.

This was awesome and well worth the money. The boat drivers are super funny and also the bus drivers! We got ti ser an Aligator which made this experience even more worth it!
