Big Cypress National Preserve

Wildlifedrive through the back country of the first Preserve in the National Park system.

Smallwood Store

Step back in time and explore the historic Smallwoods Store Museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum stands frozen in time, a window to a bygone era when the store was the islands trading post and island life revolved around the activities here.

Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park

Nature Walk through a grove of ancient cypress trees out to a "gator hole" where female alligators have been nesting for decades.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in pointing out different wildlife. She also did a great job of teaching us on the ecosystem. The boat ride through the Everglades was also vey interesting and Christian had great stories. We saw so many gators on the fan boat and were close enough that we could have grabbed one! Highly recommend this tour-it’s well worth the price

We had a great all day excursion with Everglades Day Safari. We left out of the Fort Myers area. Our guide, Rachel, was a safe driver and knew some ways to avoid the traffic. She was also very knowledgeable about the many birds and water fowl that we saw and was very personable. We did three activities that are worthy enough on their own. Our first stop was at Ten Thousand Islands for a nature walk. It was a beautiful area and we saw a variety of birds and water fowl. It was also a nice break from the drive. The next stop was in Everglades City for a Mangrove Wilderness Boat Ride and lunch. The boats held a maximum of 6 people and the local guides were fantastic. Our guide found a pod of dolphins that was a highlight of the day. Finally, we stopped at Lake Trafford for an airport ride. Our drive was obviously experienced and we saw a lot of gators and even more birds. I highly recommend this trip.

This mid 70s foursome spent a long, happily exhausting day on this Everglades Adventure and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Rachel, our guide, was so knowledgeable on multiple topics related to nature, the environment, and history of the area. Her background of knowledge was impressive A highlight was the airboat tour through the swamps - big birds galore and alligators of every size. Another was the dolphins playing in the wake of our motor boat. The tour was very well organized from beginning to end
