Wildlifedrive through the back country of the first Preserve in the National Park system.

Smallwood Store

Step back in time and explore the historic Smallwoods Store Museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum stands frozen in time, a window to a bygone era when the store was the islands trading post and island life revolved around the activities here.

Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park

Nature Walk through a grove of ancient cypress trees out to a "gator hole" where female alligators have been nesting for decades.

Our tour was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide Heidi was so knowledgeable, fun and passionate about all the wildlife, plants, trees and ecosystems of the region! We learned so much and experienced fantastic sightings of so many species of birds, and alligators up close, turtles, dolphins, mangrove trees, and traveling through the Everglades on an airboat was the highlight for us! We loved every minute. Lunch was even included! Well worth the cost!!

What a wonderful time! Heidi, our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and has a great sense of humor. We got to see a wide variety of wildlife (birds, alligators, turtles, dolphins), as well as see the incredible Florida Everglades. This was a full day of non-stop fun. Thank you very much for a wonderful time!
