Step back in time and explore the historic Smallwoods Store Museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum stands frozen in time, a window to a bygone era when the store was the islands trading post and island life revolved around the activities here.

Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park

Nature Walk through a grove of ancient cypress trees out to a "gator hole" where female alligators have been nesting for decades.

The entire trip, especially our guide Pete, was just fantastic.
We were told about the geography and history of the Everglades. We visited many locations in the Everglades. On our boat trip we saw a mother and baby manatee, several dolphins and water birds.
On the air boat ride we got close to alligators and even more water birds.
This trip is worth the time and cost.
