We had such a blast and saw so much wild life on our boat ride with Captain Baby Face. He is the best!!!! Thanks for a fun and informative ride. I now know the Everglades are a big, fresh water river, contrary to popular belief. Thanks, Eric!

This was a 'must do' trip when staying in Miami. THe tour on the Airboat was excellent, we had a very expereinced driver/helmsman ands he managed to show us some alligators, even in the heat of the midday sun. The whole trip was very well organise, with the exception of the ground transportation. Be sure you DO NOT use Key West Express as the bus operator to transfer you to and from Miami. They told us they would pick us up at 14:00 and we would leave for Miami at 14:10. At 13:40 the bus driver took off, with no information to any of his 50+ passengers!

A short drive from Hyaleia is Everglades Holiday Park. The airboats are covered so you don’t really need a hat or cap (very pleasant surprise). We tried the airboat ride with Captain Eric (Baby face), and it was really good. He’s a veteran who knows the channels and wildlife well, and is also entertaining. We spotted several different alligators, birds and he even had a wild “mother” bird come out with her chicks to feed her. The kids on the airboat loved it! The alligator show was very funny, the animals are from the Gator Boys Rescue (gator boys.com) and animals are treated well. The food in the waiting area is very reasonably priced and tasty. Overall, a great experience, my dad loved it as much as the kids on the boat!
