Everglades National Park Dolphin, Birding and Wildlife Boat Tour (2 hours)

Overview
Everglades National Park is unique on our planet. It is a wonderful, water-filled paradise that is best accessed by a quiet, slow-moving, shallow draft boat. One of the best loved residents of the Park are Bottle-Nosed Dolphins. Watching dolphin, in their natural habitat, interacting with each other, something that you will never forget.

Our full-time, formally trained, Florida Master Naturalist guides will safely take you deep into the 10,000 Islands of the Everglades. While searching for dolphins, manatees and some of the 300 different species of birds that call the Park home, you will learn about the different Everglades ecosystem, its long history and rich culture.

You will have fun and learn a lot. Don't forget your cameras!

Our group did the 2 hour boat tour and thoroughly enjoyed it even though we did not see any dolphins, just lots of birds. I wanted to share that it is not easy to board the boat...at least for us. Each passenger must descend down a vertical metal ladder of approximately 15 rungs attached to and up against a cement wall in order to get to the landing to board the boat. Two of us were not sure we could handle it but managed with help. Other than that, it was a nice tour.

Thank you. We must use a vertical ladder as we have tides that change the boats elevation relative to the dock. These are on the order 2-3 feet. Today, for example, there is 2.6 feet between low and high tide. At the very lowest point in the tide, three steps on the ladder would be needed, not 15. At high tide, two. Glad you enjoyed the tour.

It was a nice boat ride through the 10 000 Islands. We saw birds and dolphins and the tour guide/skipper pointed out interesting facts along the way. Recommended
