We did this on the first day of our vacation, and am glad we did, as we used the recommendations and the 10% off card for the rest of our meals in Seattle. The tour was very informative, and our guide Mark was quite knowledgeable about the city. Really enjoyed every last bite of all the samples. There was plenty to eat, and even some left over. We later hit many of the restaurants he recommended, and we weren't disappointed. My only criticism is that I tired very quickly of Mark's comedy routine, "just kidding" (which he said every 5 minutes). Am not sure why some tour guides feel they have to be comedians. If I wanted that, I would go to a comedy club. We went on several different tours during our stay in Seattle, and about half of the tour guides spent way too much time with the corny jokes. I would still highly recommend this tour. The food was great, and the recommendations were spot on.

We loved our tour. The food tastings were yummy, and we learned really interesting information about the history of the market and the area. Our daughter is a vegetarian and they had great alternatives for her. Great way to spend the morning. So much better than the on our own tour we tried earlier in the week.

This was our favorite tour during our trip to the Pacific Northwest! Justin was our guide and he had such a tremendous spirit and passion for the Pike Place Market. When we arrived for the tour all I could think about were all the delicious nibbles we were going to enjoy. After learning about the history of the Market via Justin's knowledge, all I could think about was the history and the people that make up the Market. Justin encouraged us to talk to the vendors and get to know their stories. When I returned to MarketSpice to make a purchase, I asked the man who helped me (his name is A.J.) how long he'd worked in the Market? He went back 3 generations to tell me about his grandparents working there. His roots run deep. I don't believe I would have thought about asking any questions if Justin hadn't sparked my interest in the people (the heart) of the Pike Place Market. Great tour! Yummy tastings! Outstanding tour guide!
