I have visited the market on several visits but have always just done a self-guided tour. I am so glad we were finally able to fit this tour into our schedule as our guide, Will (along with assistance from Jerry), provided a great history of the market along with current updates and improvements. Getting to the market right when it opens really helps avoid the crushing crowds that you experience by mid-morning. The tastings were a nice variety and I'm glad we, my husband and I, only had coffee before the tour and reserved plenty of stomach space. Keep in mind that you can always revisit the food stalls you liked best or were most intrigued by on your tour. We appreciated that Will and Jerry took the time to sit with us after the tour to answer questions and offer additional suggestions for sightseeing and dining in Seattle. If possible, do a Pike Place Market tour early in your visit so you have time to explore their suggestions and take advantage of the discounts you get as a tour participate (we sure did!).
