We booked a two hour private tour to see the highlights of the Met. Maite our guide was so knowledgeable and personable. It was a completely different experience than trying to visit a museum on your own. Her stories of Egypt were fascinating and she made paintings that we wouldn't have given a second glance to come alive. Book through Art Smart and you won't regret it. I have visited NYC probably two dozen times in the past few years and our tour with Maite ranks in the Top 3 of everything we have seen and done.

We had a guided tour with Senta from Artsmart at the Met on a Friday evening (highly recommended as the museum was literally empty). Senta was able to adjust perfectly to our level of art understanding and gave us a fantastic tour. Very insightful and at the same time highly entertaining. Senta told us the amazing stories that lie beneath selected pieces of art and galleries. Totally recommendable!

I can say that without this experience, the visit to the Met would have not been the same. Our tour guide, Whitney, was very inviting and engaging. Gave us a new perspective on the art collection and helped us understand so much more about what we were seeing thus making the experience that much more rewarding. I booked this tour as a present for my wife and she was so excited. The time flew by! Something that doesn't happen often (at lest to me) when I visit museums. We even chose to skip the wine reception and continue enjoying the exhibits. Highly recommended!
