Aloha, I'm really surprised at the review thats posted before mine that stated the tour was boring. The tour was awesome! How could you say that the beekeeper Joe talked about nothing for 45 minutes?? That man is possibly the most intelligent person on this entire island in regards to bees and how to care for them. The location is incredible, tons of RICH history in the backyard of this location, they are the biggest producers of organic honey on the entire planet, and they offer at least 5 different styles of honey, some of which are found nowhere else in the world due to extracting it from endemic flowers only found in Hawaii. I learned how we have native hawaiian bees here, more than 1 type (the yellowface bee looks like a yellow fly, very unique if u spot one on a beach or garden). Lisa at the regiater is also very friendly and a joy to talk to as well. If you have even a slight interest in honey or bee's, and have a desire for learning about a hobby thats been going on for thousands of years, take this tour. Lots of honey made here in Hawaii, this place is the Mecca of it all.
Mahalo nui loa to all that make this place so special, theres only so much u can do with bee's and they have maximized the possibilities
