Experience Raptors and Falconry

Overview

A GROUP of attendees are given the opportunity for a unique experience into the life of a Raptor with an up close and personal encounter with Hawks, Falcons and Owls.

With the assistance of a licensed Falconer, you will learn the biology, conservation, field identification, traits, behaviors, natural history, and the importance of raptors.

Following a brief instruction guests will be fitted with a gauntlet and join a trained Hawk on a short walk – witness the agility and skill as she flies from perch to perch while swooping back to the Falconer’s gauntlet.

Birds, especially raptors are so specialized and most of us know so little about them. This “Adventure” will teach you and amaze you and you will get “up close and personal” with some incredible birds. Kathleen is such an expert, but also so personal and approachable that you will not even realize how much you have learned in such a short time. DO IT! You will never regret this “Adventure”!

Kathleen is a wealth of knowledge about rapotors and falconry. She provides an interesting and fun experience. She brought three of her fabuous birds of prey for the hands on encounter. I fed a Harris hawk, was the hand upon which the hawk landed, and felt the downiness of Lousie, one of the largest owls around. If you want to meet birds of prey up close and participate in flying these wonderful specimens, this is for you!! High recommended!!
