The tour was very informative. We went through the kitchen- no one was cooking in there that day. We went into the production area and saw where the candy dough is made. There was some in the extruder and it was interesting watching the naked bourbon balls make their way down the line. We watched the whole process of making Rebecca Ruthā€™s famous Bourbon Ball, from beginning to putting on the pecan to packaging. After the tour, we watched a video of the history of the company, which was very interesting. We finished the tour at their museum, then went into the store to get our candy sample and make purchases. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I will add that cell phones and picture taking inside the factory and store is strictly prohibited, but on their website there are pictures that show a lot of the things we saw on the tour.

Quick factory tour with some interesting history and a sample at the end. Nice way to spend some time in the capital and stock up on chocolate!

Friendly staff. Go Monday-Thursday so you can see candy still being made mostly by hand. My teen boy was fascinated by the process. The bourbon ball free sample convinced me to buy. Delicious candy.
