Starrigavan Recreation Area, just north of Sitka, Alaska, is a nature lover's paradise. Here you'll find a beautiful estuary teeming with birdlife, perfect for observing on the quarter-mile boardwalk trail. We can hop on the Forest to Muskeg trail for a short hike through spruce-hemlock forest and muskeg on various trails, keeping an eye out for resident brown bears, eagles, and deer.

Fortress of the Bear

The drive to Fortress of the Bear is a scenic adventure! Trade charming downtown for breathtaking Alaskan scenery - mountains, wildlife, and a glimpse of the local ecosystem! Keep your eyes peeled. Once we arrive, learn about rescued brown and black bears. A must-see stop!

Learning the history of Sitka Seeing the water falls and beautiful area outside of Downtown. Kealoha is a wonderful tour guide. You can’t go wrong taking her tour.

Kealoha, our tour guide was fantastic! She had great communication right from the start so we could coordinate pick up and she was very accommodating to pick us up wherever we were. She has a very warm and friendly personality and will tell you everything you want to know about Sitka and the places you will visit. She will customize your tour to take you where you want. It’s so awesome when you see a bus full of people who have to move at a certain pace and you can go at whatever pace you like and move on to the next stop. We had a fabulous day with Kealoha and I guarantee you will too!
