Overview

Adventure with a marine biology educator along the coast and learn more about wildlife living in the intertidal zone of San Diego. Great for all ages and skill levels. There are some stairs and lots of uneven terrain we will walk on, so this is not a wheelchair-friendly activity.

I taught middle and high school marine biology for more than a decade before committing to environmental tourism! With fifteen years of teaching youth and adults in outdoor education settings, plus my background in conservation biology, provides guests with in-depth (pun intended) knowledge of marine life during our tide pool exploration.

Groups are kept small (10 people maximum, with exceptions for private groups/families) which makes this a more intimate and personal experience.

My daughter had an amazing time doing the Tide Pool Adventure. Matt was a great and knowledgeable guide through the Tide Pools.

The kelp crab was so big and feisty! Interesting creatures and the weather cleared nicely. Guide handled big group very well.

Wonderfully organized, thorough, and varied. Matt is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the natural wonders in the tide pools and does a great job managing small groups in exploring. This is a must-do - a great way to connect to the natural world around us.
